YLD Committees

If you're interested in joining a committee, please contact Jason Marcus or Jacklyn DeMar.

Mentorship Committee

The TAFEF YLD mentorship program pairs YLD members with veteran lawyers, giving them one-on-one access to a valuable resource. We endeavor to match you up first by geographic location and second by requested areas of interest. This makes for a great opportunity to not only sharpen your existing tools but to expand your practice, while networking with one of TAFEF’s finest attorneys. There are no set requirements for this program: once we have paired you, you can meet or talk with your mentor as often as you would like.

To be paired with a mentor or for questions about the committee or mentorship program, please contact Jason Marcus or Caitlyn Silhan.

Speaker Committee

The TAFEF YLD Speaker Committee is aimed towards increasing YLD member participation on TAFEF conference panels and brainstorm ideas for new panels geared towards YLD interests.  The committee is also focused on the TAFEF YLD speakers series, in which veteran TAFEF members conduct webinars and other discussions with the YLD, including best practices, discrete subject matter topics, and war stories.

To join the Speaker Committee, or if you have ideas for speaker program content, please contact Molly Knobler, Leah Judge, Nathaniel Smith, Will PowersEmily Stabile, or Randi McCoy.

Events Committee

The TAFEF YLD Events Committee develops plans for YLD events and social gatherings such as networking receptions and breakfasts connected with the TAFEF Annual Conference, as well as smaller regional events.

To join the Events Committee, or if you have ideas for events, please contact Janel Quinn.

Publications Committee

The TAFEF YLD Publications Committee works in conjunction with the TAFEF staff to identify important topics to young lawyers in the relator’s bar and publish white papers, blog posts, and journal articles.

To join the committee, if you have ideas for topics to cover, or if you would like to work on a publication, please contact Jacklyn DeMar.
