TAFEF Young Lawyers Division
Welcome to the Young Lawyers Division of the Taxpayers Against Fraud Education Fund. The YLD is comprised of TAF members who are 40 years of age and younger, or who have been admitted to practice for 10 years or less. The YLD was formed to bring these young attorneys together in a forum where they can feel comfortable openly discussing an array of topics with their peers, from the complexities and nuances of qui tam law to general practice pointers for attorneys just starting out in the field. All young attorneys are welcome, and all thoughtful conversations are appreciated.
The YLD is actively engaged in providing opportunities for learning and growth for TAF’s younger practitioners. The Speaker Committee organizes webinars exclusively available to our members, led by qui tam lawyers, trial attorneys, and government officials. The Mentorship Committee pairs YLD members with veteran TAF attorneys for guidance. YLD members also have access to an exclusive listserv and YLD breakfast at TAF’s annual conference. We welcome your ideas for additional initiatives.
The YLD is governed by a board of volunteers, and we encourage you to join the board or a committee. If you are unable to offer your time, we urge you to actively participate in events and the listserv, and we ask that you share your thoughts and suggestions so that the YLD itself can grow and improve along with its members.
Membership in the YLD is free, but we suggest a donation of $15 to help cover expenses. Donations can be made here; please state in the comments that this donation is for YLD, or it will go to the general fund.
We look forward to getting to know you at the TAF YLD events, helping you improve your practice with our speaker webinars and mentorship program, and sharing experiences on the YLD listserv.
Jason Marcus, Chairman of the YLD Board
