IL Intervenes in Imaging Cases
Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan has intervened in support of a whistle-blower lawsuit alleging that 19 Chicago-area diagnostic centers paid kickbacks for patient referrals. The kickbacks were given to doctors in the form of inflated lease agreements. Though only 11 companies were named in the lawsuit, the Illinois Attorney General's office thinks the scheme stretches across the country. >> To read more
